| This is because the markets can be manipulated by the players. If it takes the lowest price, you could put a sapp on the market for 1 gold, and then pay for the lessons as quick as all hell, and end up paying 500 instead of your proposed 2 billion. If it takes the median price, well, that's screwed up as it is for every market. No one has ever bought anything that was ever median-priced, because the median-priced stuff is like the 90k platinum and the 10M helix. If it takes the mean of the bottom 10% of the market, you get clanmates to occupy the bottom 10% and then enjoy your discount. Honestly, I don't believe you can have any NPC price that's market-based. |
