 Subject: runes
next to the stats boosting rings and gear, rune stones to boost the effect of stats, gain of demon XP or even boost temporary ( as long the rune is active ) the lvl of the demon.

example in the last case ;
you activate your rune stone and your demon get + 10 lvl's, after 1 hour the magic of your rune stone is drained and the effect gets deactivated, you can either recharge it or wait until it fully recharged before it is usable again.
