many people play for nostalgia reasons, they played AD&D as a thief, or swordsman, so they play the game to roleplay that character. Honestly, since you could buy blackfate anytime, classes mean, in reality, very little at all. Call yourself an orc druid/ranger that dabbles in alchemy, you can buy as many skills and as much str and agility as you like, that what class you play means nothing. You certainly don't learn to develop a character. Level 5 mage skill may be an exception, but the rule applies, choose your class at level 10. I don't think it is obvious at all that people will choose acolyte |
