Subject: We need more strategy
and action.

The common responmce of all the friends I have shown the game to has been that the game is booring. also say that It's game play is very time consuming and all seems to be about economics wich is not much fun.

The demand of strategy games, has been also a common request. Since this is a text based game its complicated to apply more interactive strategic game to it.

But how about a specific battle ground where we can direct our armys into battle.


Lest say 3 basic units, cavalery, archers, and infantery.

with their stats, movement, attack, range, healt moral and stamina.

The ground can be a simple croquis map, and the position in the map affects movement and damage,

archers on highground do more damage and gain acuaricy. Infantery gains attack when flanking oponents, gains defence when shielded but lose movement speed. can run to gain speed and movement but lose stamina wish. Cavalery has charge, with enough space to make a strong charge and full stamina can pass through enemy lines.

I think you have enough to get the idea of what Im sugesting to make.

The economics of this game are naturaly expected, armies need suport, recuiting cost maintainence cost.

One thing i would like to sugest is that the victory must not be archived with total aniliation of the enemy but a points system convined on ground ocupation and strategical position and damage inflicted.

Lest say to retreat a battle field cost 25 points, but a player with a strong archers batalion ocupies a hill and catch cavalerie troups outguarded and inflicts heavy damage, he manages to get his archers and troops to a extraction point and retreat without loosing any troops.

Final count should be something like

1. Strategic points ocupied, 10 points, damage inflicted 30 points, damage taken 0 battle gound lost -25 points, total 15.

2. Strategic points ocupied 0, damage inflicted 0, damage taken -30, battleground won 25. total -5

Victor Player 1.

In this case the player 2 wond the field but at a higher cost of troops his victory was not strategic therefore he lose to a simple guerrilla warfare plaid by player 1.

Rewards, we can do tournaments with prices, also rewards in experience and gold for the troops killed. Tactical experience for the warrior allowing him to level up and upgrade his troops.

endless posibilities of upgrading this idea felt, think of the many pacages you can sell, special units, tactical movements like ambush..

This could make DW a real War Game.
