| You find yourself at the brink of a vortex, beyond which you hear the roars and howls od many demons. Your demon strains to overpower you. Do you dare to enter the vortex? [enter the vortex] [run away] You arrive on the outskirts of a great demon war. Your demon taps you on the shoulder and then points at your shoes. As you look down, DEMON picks you up and stuffs you in his pack. DEMON breaths the air of freedom. [LOWER VEN] [DARK FOREST] [. . . ?] COMMENTARY The Lower Ven would allow the player to play through a demon, and have some basic attributes reversed. The Upper Ven platform could be utilzed but reversing the scoring attributes. If your demon wins, experience at the regular demon level would be subtracted from the winning charcter and imposed on the losing character. Although this might be called 'leveling down', it would be very time consuming at the demon levels of experience. Adding experience to another player provides interesting twists to the game in a lot of other ways. The Dark Forest platform (and others) could be utilized on a similar basis, allowing some twists to regular play and the introduction of some new NP characters, rewards etc. While it might be difficult to program it might be an idea to allow DEMON to interact with other players in the Dark Forest, perhaps hunting them or their demons. Once the Demon is in control it might be fun to be able to play the entire game as the demon. "Jabear's demon enters chat - orders a martini." |
