Subject: improve server performance | |||||
| I am not really an expert but do involve in some ICT networking management. There are areas which i think would help in the game database management thus improve the server performance. This are just suggestions and u could get better ICT communication solution from other service providers/companies. 1. In my organization we do have a secondary server which copy all the data every 24 hours and we called it a disaster recovery center (DRC). This will ensure that u will never loose any data especially when there are earthquake or major power failure. 2. Our servers also have a separate storage thus it will ensure the main server will always have the required space and bandwidth. 3. We do use a communication solution such as RIVERBED to optimize WAN bandwidth and improve server performance. This is a few of my suggestion and hope they will do good. |
