There is a distinct difference between screaming and "screamo". Screamo is a specific subgenre that is a cross over of mostly emo, with some hardcore influences, like in the vocals... quite litterly it is screaming emo XD As such, this specific vocal style is defined by high pitched and whiny sounding screams... usually bitching about how bad their insignificant problems are even though everyone else deals with the same shit no problem.


There are about as many different styles of the scream/yell/growl as there are different sub genres of metal, and some of punk too. There is the gruff hardcore style, or the gruffer and deeper cookie-monster of death metal/grindcore, or the high pitched operetic style found in a lot of black metal, or just plain yelling like a drunken bastard style found in a lot of punk and thrash among many others... and then even they have sub styles depending on how much harmony they include (for example, trivium uses a lot of hardcore/NWOAHM style yells and screams, but also include a considerable amount of melody in a number if not most of their tracks).







And furthermore! Metallica are a bunch of pansy assholes that havent been the king of anything since Cliff died Any TRUE fan of thrash would kick you in the teeth and head to a slayer show XD then prob Anthrax, Megadeath, Exodus, Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, and many many more examples of far better acts BEFORE seeing Metallica cause there is nothing else left. The only people that ever called them the king of thrash would be the mainstream publications and the like that they sold out too. Its a false title given by people that known little to nothing about the music and not the fans themselves.

So to recap:

Metallica = ****
Every other thrash band > Metallica
Alcohollica (with Clif) = alright... still not as good as many others XD
