I can only guess at the dynamics of the roulette tables here. I if I gamble I stick to the black jack and poker tables. On the other hand, why as my opening joke implied, why would you want to risk so much of your gold being lost. Sure one could argue that if you have a system of statistics that are going to guarantee you winning say, 96% of the time, and that extra 4% chance of gaining more gold, then go for the gamble. On the other hand, keep in mind that the dev team has to set limits to the bet as it could lead to further issues with the original code of that function.
