The mechanics of the universe are as good of a why as any. And causation is an answer to why. Our descriptions of why are naturally influenced and indistinguishable from our perception, this is why people disagree. If you feel the question is asking for a supernatural philosophical explanation of the universe, then that is up to you. My explanation of why there is anything is that the universe is in that part of the thermodynamic cycle. The idea that everything proceeds with or without us is no more of a leap then that of a creationist answer. I'm not an athiest so this is not a comment on religion vs science. If you don't like my answer, that's ok too. I appreciate your candor and enjoy alternate viewpoints whether I agree or not. |
