| ~ The only time the lag gets bothersome for me is the reset, which I have no problem with as I know the situation. Hopefully with what you detailed in your other post, even this can be addressed, if only to a point. ~ Given the time and effort, a non-spender is perfectly capable of catching up with someone who has spent $$ on this game. Granted, for the uber-players it's another story, but there is a multitude of other players with whom we can compete. ~ For new players, this is a problem. Though with the recent effort to try and ease the overflow of information and all the Helpers available, it's nothing we can't handle. ~ I quite like this one  The reality is the exact opposite. I hear from many players (not complaining, just stating) that they are never out of things to do. Seafaring, Mining, Loligo, Lumber, Forest/Dark Forest/Mystic Forest, Upper Ven, Trapping, Town Fights and so on, are regular tasks that they have to cram in.~ This is a tentative subject, so I shall tread lightly. Suffice it to say that there are indeed many rules in place, especially in more recent times, but these were introduced with the intention of improving DW. ~ As stated above, there are plenty of tasks available to keep people occupied. However, that's not to say that there is too much stuff to do - many people won't be doing all of these tasks at once, so will probably be left with free time to peruse DW, so a little variety is always welcome. ~ Rubbish. There are plenty of ways to get forward in the game, and even more people to help players achieve that. It may not be easy, but it also isn't impossible - far from it. ~ If you're one of those who try and complete all of the tasks I mentioned above at once, yes, it can be a little time-consuming. But for the most part, I at least find I can get things done without too much hassle. (But I will take this chance to nitpick It is annoying when you're in the middle of Seafaring, go to answer a mail or help someone in Newbie, then return to find you've been shunted to the docks. One of the few qualms I have with things nowadays, and it seems the perfect opportunity to point it out.)~ If you're just starting out, sure. But there are plenty of ways to make money (Poker, HiLo, Seafaring), and players/Clans willing to help. And if you know where to look to get things cheaper, it takes the edge off a little.
